The New York Giants will be without quarterback Jaxson Dart for the remainder of the season. They could be without some other front-line players on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, as well.
Edge defender Brian Burns, who suffered a low ankle sprain Monday against the Los Angeles Rams, was not seen on the field Wednesday during the brief walk-through period open to media. Per ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Burns “is not expected to need surgery but is likely to miss some time.”
Without Burns, who
had 16.5 sacks in 2025, Kayvon Thibodeaux will play an increased role.
Left tackle Andrew Thomas, who reportedly has a groin/adductor injury, participated in the early portion of practice. Wide receiver Malik Nabers, who played through a shoulder injury on Monday, also participated in the walk-through portion open to media.
Cornerback Deonte Banks, who missed Monday’s game with a calf injury, continued to work on the side with a member of the training staff.
The Giants have not as of yet added another quarterback to replace Dart. Jameis Winston and Jake Haener were the only quarterbacks at practice on Wednesday.
