Texas Longhorns junior edge Colin Simmons (ankle) will miss a second straight game after he was ruled out of Saturday’s matchup against the Mississippi State Bulldogs in Austin.
Initially listed as questionable on the Wednesday conference-mandated report, Simmons was doubtful on Thursday before he was ruled out, joining senior left tackle Trevor Goosby (knee) and freshman edge Richard Wesley (ankle).
Sophomore wide receiver Kaliq Lockett was probable on the first two injury reports before his removal
on Friday, making him available for the first time since the start of conference play.
On Thursday, senior running back Hollywood Smothers (shoulder) and junior wide receiver Cam Coleman were both ruled available after receiving probable designations on the initial report.
