The start of NFL free agency has come and gone, with a lot of the big-ticket names having come off the board. That included a number of trades, like the Cleveland Browns adding OT Tytus Howard in a trade with the Houston Texans.
While the Browns added a number of other offensive linemen, the team’s own free agents had mostly a quiet start to the offseason. Early, LB Devin Bush and DE Cameron Thomas found new teams. Recently, RB Jerome Ford was the first official departure from Cleveland’s offense.
OL Wyatt Teller joined the Texans on Tuesday, followed by news that TE David Njoku, who also said goodbye to the fans like Teller, will visit the AFC North rival Baltimore Ravens:
Njoku spent nine seasons with the Browns after being drafted late in the first round of the 2017 NFL draft. A fan favorite for his energy and effort, Njoku accumulated 384 receptions for 4,062 yards and 34 touchdowns during those nine years in Cleveland.
Injuries limited Njoku to just 23 games over the last two seasons, including a paltry 33 receptions and 293 yards in 2025. An athletic tight end coming out of college, Njoku seemed to have bulked up to provide more blocking for the Browns last season, seemingly sacrificing explosiveness and speed.
Baltimore is the first team with reported interest in Njoku, with a visit giving them a chance to check on the tight end’s health.
How would you feel about Njoku joining the Ravens? What is your favorite “Chief” moment with the Browns?
