- TCU’s last win over a ranked opponent in a true road game came in the 2022 season when they went to Austin and beat No. 18 Texas, 17-10.

HOUSTON NOTES
- The Cougars matched their win total from their first two seasons in the Big 12 Conference, beginning the season 8-2. Houston faces two in-state rivals to close out the season on Nov. 22 and Nov. 29 against TCU and at Baylor, respectively.
- Houston has won five consecutive road games in a season for the fifth time in program history after its 30-27 win at UCF. The Cougars have won 6 road games in the same season twice, 2011 and 2021. A win at Baylor to close out the season would be just the third 6-0 road record in program history.
- The Cougars win over #24/25 Arizona State in Week 9 was their first against a ranked team on the road since 2017 when Houston beat #17/14 South Florida 28-24 on Oct. 29, 2017 in Tampa. The Cougars have beaten ranked opponents in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2017-18. Houston snapped Arizona State’s 10-game home winning streak dating to 2023.
- Houston has won 8+ games for the first time since joining the Big 12 Conference. Houston’s five Big 12 wins in 2025 are a program record after joining the league in 2023 and winning two and three, games in the first two seasons, respectively. The turnaround has been a product of an offensive resurgence that has seen the Cougars offensive efficiency trend upward from 121st in 2024 to 60th in 2025.
- Houston is the only two FBS teams unbeaten on the road this season while also playing five or more road games.
- The Cougars have allowed 22.1 points per game this season, 46th nationally, however the defense has allowed just 20.7 points per game, 34th nationally and fifth in the Big 12.
- Houston has five wins this season when allowing the first score, most in the Big 12. The only FBS team with more such victories is Vanderbilt (five).
