to make his debut under Hansi Flick at Barcelona, coming on as a late substitute in the 1-1 draw with Newcastle in the Champions League.Alvaro Cortes was also in the squad for the game at St James’ Park – with both players eyeing first-team minutes now that Alejandro Balde and Jules Kounde are out injured.
Midfielder Tommy Marques was also in the squad again, after making his debut against Real Mallorca, as Flick continues to look to La Masia to support his first-team
squad.
With fixtures coming thick and fast, and Barca’s first-teamers looking tired, the Barcelona boss is being tipped to rotate his team in the coming weeks which could mean more opportunities for the club’s youngsters.
