Illinois soccer has earned the opportunity to continue its record-setting 2025 season. The bracket was revealed for the 10-team, single-elimination Big Ten Women’s Soccer Tournament on Sunday, with the Orange & Blue clinching the #9 seed.
Illinois will match up with 8-seed Ohio State this Thursday at Purdue University, with the victors advancing to play the top-seeded Washington Huskies in the quarterfinals on Sunday.
The semifinals and championship match will be held at Energizer Park in St. Louis.
Katie Hultin’s Fighting Illini finished the 2025 regular season at 12-4-2 (5-4-2 B1G) with a 1-1 draw at Michigan Sunday afternoon. The team’s 12 victories are the most in a single season since 2011, and the most ever for a first-year head coach. Illinois’ 8-0-1 start was also the best in program history.
