If you’re like me (an old), you’re probably reluctant to add new apps to your phone. I shouldn’t need an app just to order at a restaurant!
But a good app, if designed well, can add some value. SB Nation has developed a new app you can use to follow Royals Review. You may remember their efforts to design an app over a decade ago (we vowed never to speak of it again). Well this time around they got it right. I’ve gotten to use it the last few weeks and it is sleek, easy-to-use, with instantaneous loading
of comments. And yes, you can still green your favorite sarcastic comments from members.
The gamethreads have their own section that are easy to navigate. If you follow more than one site (Arrowhead Pride, for example), there is a convenient feed to get all the articles from the sites you follow in one place. But if you’re a sicko who only wants Royals news, you can get that too.
So check it out, and offer your feedback! They want it this time! Already they are working on an issue that Jeremy Greco pointed out. Anyway, here’s the announcement:
It’s a big day for Royals Review. Today, the SB Nation app is live, and it’s the best way to follow the Royals.
You can download it by searching SB Nation for iOS or Android.
A year ago we made some big changes to our community, including offering fewer ads and the addition of the Feed. Today, we want to give you even more community tools and fewer ads with this app. It will make starting and joining conversations here as simple as posting to your favorite social media platform.
You can check out the video below showing off some of the useful features of the app, and we’ll dig into them below.
Why should I download the app?
The app will be the easiest way to interact with everybody else in the community:
- All your favorite teams’ posts in one dedicated feed
- Notifications when someone replies or recs your post
- New game thread section, with an experience that’s smoother and faster
- Fewer ads
- Easily navigating between your favorite communities with a swipe
It will be the fastest way to read every post from our community.
How do I download the app?
Head over to the Apple store or the Android store to download the app. Today, the app is only available for US users.
