Gisele Shaw is making moves. The former TNA Knockout officially signed with the NWA. It was a bittersweet announcement, because Shaw also lost the NWA women’s TV title.
Shaw’s match aired on the latest episode of NWA Powerrr, which featured action from NWA 78 taped on July 25, 2026, at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The NWA Women’s World Television Championship was on the line against Sirena Veil.
Shaw was accompanied by Lou D’Angeli (aka Sign Guy Dudley and Lou E. Dangerously in ECW).
Veil was backed by Paige Collett. 6:05 time limit on the clock, in honor of the classic TBS show time. Those seconds played a role in the finish.
Shaw trapped Veil in a crossface submission in the center of the ring as time ran down. Collett attacked D’Angeli. Shaw released the hold to kick Collett. Veil took advantage of the distraction to hit her Bloodbath finisher. The referee counted the pin with one second remaining on the clock. The new TV champion was crowned. Shaw’s reign ends on her fifth title defense.
During that match, NWA owner Bill Corgan revealed that Shaw signed with the promotion. He put over the Quintessential Diva as a locker room leader with conscience, morality, and honor. The NWA announced the news officially on social media.
It’s interesting to note that the graphic says Shaw signed an exclusive contract with the NWA. That brings into question Shaw’s other notable gig as a frequent player in Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling, owned by former TNA president Scott D’Amore. Shaw currently holds the MLP Women’s Canadian Championship. The Quintessetial Diva has a title defense lined up against Nikki Storm (aka Nikki Cross in WWE) at the MLP Northern Rising PPV on October 3 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Is a new champ coming in MLP?
