Marcus Rashford was back in action on Sunday for England against Albania and delivered another assist in a victory for the Three Lions in their final World Cup qualifier.
England were leading 1-0 when Rashford
arrived on 75 minutes as a substitute for Jarrod Bowen. The Barcelona loanee then needed just seven minutes to deliver an assist for Harry Kane. Rashford sent in a superb ball from the left for Kane to nod home his second of the night.
It’s yet another assist for Rashford who will now head back to Barcelona to start preparing for Saturday’s match against Athletic Club.
Hansi Flick will be relieved to see Rashford avoid injury during the international break. He played 65 minutes against Serbia in England’s first match of the break and was handed the last 15 minutes against Albania.
Rashford will be expected to start again for Barcelona on Saturday against Athletic Club. Raphinha is expected back shortly but it’s not clear yet if he will be in the squad for the weekend’s game.
