Our Miami Dolphins will host the LA Chargers this afternoon in a game that may very well decide if the Phins will be playing under a new head coach and or general manager after this week. Of course, another single win is unlikely enough to save either man’s job beyond this season or at some earlier point during this season. Last week, our Dolphins drop a game that they seemed to have in hand against the Carolina Panthers (24-27). A win last week would have given the team a second victory in a row
after winning their first game of the season two weeks ago over the woeful NY Jets (27-21).
The Chargers began this season looking like one of the better teams in the NFL and possibly the best team in the AFC West by winning their first three games over the Kansas City Chiefs (27-21), the LV Raiders (20-9), and the Denver Broncos (23-20). Since that point, the Chargers have dropped their last two games to the NY Giants (18-21) and the Washington Commanders (10-27). Even following their two-game slide, LA still managed to hold onto a share of first place in their division. The Chargers will be looking at a struggling Dolphins team as a good chance to bounce back while also battling jet lag, having had to fly cross-country.
