This is the Falcons offense everyone was hoping to see. The Atlanta Falcons show off their explosive ability with a five-play, 63-yard drive capped off by a gracefully powerful run by running back Bijan
Robinson as he continues to increase his missed tackle % one amazing run at a time.
Even after starting off with a sack, this Falcons offense bounces back with a 43-yard bomb from Michael Penix, Jr. to Drake London to get them into Washington Commanders territory.
Penix came into this game with one of the lowest deep ball % in the league, but he has not been afraid to let it loose, as he is currently 9-for-11 for 126 yards and a touchdown. Drake London has been the main beneficiary as he’s caught all five of his targets for 86 yards and the touchdown.
Bijan Robinson has been electric, gaining 55 yards on 11 carries and that aforementioned touchdown.
The Falcons offense is not only attacking this Commanders defense, but they’re attacking them both in the air and on the ground.
This is the offense that Falcons fans were hoping to see when the season started, and even though it’s come in late, it’s nice to know that the potential of this offense is more than just theoretical. There is potential for this to be an extremely effective unit.
