Death, taxes, and Jeffery Simmons getting into a fight during training camp. Those are the only things guaranteed in life. Simmons was involved in a fight during today’s Tennessee Titans practice and was sent off. He reportedly ended today’s camp working on a side field with the strength and conditioning staff.
Robert Saleh said after practice that the fight isn’t really a big deal, and Simmons was removed from practice because he threw a punch. This is a change from last year when Brian Callahan
didn’t kick Simmons out of practice in a similar situation.
At the end of the day, this is really a non-story. Every year in training camp, there is some type of fight. It’s bound ot happen when guys are going against each other over and over in the heat. It is good to see that Saleh has a standard of discipline that he expects from his players, and that even Simmons, the best player on the team, isn’t above the rules.
