By halftime of Bayern Munich’s 4-3 victory (6-4 on aggregate) over Real Madrid in the Champions League, there was a distinct sense of panic in the fan base.
Some folks could see that Real Madrid was just wearing out the backline of the Bavarians, while others could not shake the ghosts of UCL games past. Everyone, though, feared the quick-strike ability of Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior.
There was a lot of…doubt.
However, as Bayern Munich picked up its play, fans started to feel better and see that
there was a way to actually win the game and the tie. Little by little, everyone seemed to go from apprehensive to excited to elated to relieved.
