According to a report from Bild (via @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich is working closely with both Hamburger SV and Southampton to facilitate ending Peretz’s loan at HSV and putting an end to what has become a messy situation:
Bayern and HSV are close to reaching an agreement regarding the termination of Daniel Peretz’s loan. As a compensation, HSV would not pay Bayern any fee for the 6-month loan (loan fee agreed last summer was €400-500k for the season). That’s where Southampton comes in. Bayern have
agreed with the English club that they will pay a higher loan fee than HSV would have for the remaining six months of the season. A deal is now imminent and Peretz could already travel to England this evening.
While this move does not officially close the book on Peretz’s career with Bayern Munich, it does pave the way for Peretz to eventually leave on a permanent basis. With no chance of being the future No. 1 in Bavaria, it is truly the best option to attempt to get Peretz to a club where he can play and hopefully market himself for a future transfer.
Peretz’s contract with Bayern Munich ends in 2028.
