The Miami Dolphins are gearing up for their preseason game against the New York Giants taking place this Saturday afternoon at Hard Rock Stadium, however another important defensive piece is missing from the team’s practices leading up to that clash.
Miami’s first round pick from the 2025 NFL Draft — defensive tackle Kenneth Grant — is out with injury, and head coach Jeff Hafley said the youngster will be “week-to-week” for the foreseeable future.
Speaking with the South Florida media ahead of practice
on Tuesday, Hafley had this to say about Grant’s ailment.
“We will not see [Kenneth Grant] today and we will not see him the remainder of this week.”
Miami’s new regime isn’t the most forthcoming when it comes to injury details, so it is unclear what type of injury Grant is dealing with at the moment, but for the time being, the Dolphins defensive tackle will be focusing more on rehabbing than getting after opposing ball carriers.
However, when speaking about fellow defensive tackle Zach Sieler, Hafley offered a bit of good news. The 30-year old is expected back for Miami’s first regular season contest against the Las Vegas Raiders.
We will continue to keep you updated on all things Miami Dolphins as the team progresses towards meaningful football games in less than one month’s time.
