Real Madrid were back on the training pitch at Valdebebas on Monday morning, just a day after grinding out a 1–0 win away to Getafe. The session brought encouraging news for Xabi Alonso’s side ahead of
Sunday’s El Clásico at the Santiago Bernabéu: Trent made a partial return to group training, signaling another step forward in his recovery.
The English full-back, sidelined since September 16, joined the squad for part of the session as he ramps up his fitness with an eye on being available for the weekend’s showdown against Barcelona. His progress adds another boost to a team that has been navigating a heavy schedule with several players recovering from injuries.
As is customary after a match, the starters from the Getafe game stayed indoors for recovery work in the gym. The rest of the squad completed activation drills focused on deceleration and mobility before moving into a series of rondos. They later worked on crossing and finishing exercises and wrapped up the day with tactical work and small-sided games.
Another positive development was Ferland Mendy’s return to full training after recovering from his injury. Youth players Thiago Pitarch, Fortea, and Fran González also joined the first-team session, gaining valuable experience alongside the senior squad.
