The College Football Playoffs are extremely exciting for both fans and NFL teams because it’s a great time to watch potential draft targets face top-notch competition. Specifically for Cleveland, they’ll most likely be paying attention to a couple of players from each team in the Tulane vs. Ole Miss game today.
Here is one player on each side that the Browns are most likely interested in right now:
C Jack Hollifield – Tulane
Hollifield has been flying under the radar throughout the past two seasons, but he’s been a pretty good
center at the G5 level for both Appalachian State and Tulane. He has good size (6’3”, 300 lbs.) and was named to the Rimington Trophy watch list heading into the 2025 season.
He’s a very good athlete for the position as well, being originally recruited as a tight end and linebacker coming out of high school. Hollifield is still a pretty raw prospect, but he shows good potential to be a decent depth option on the interior at the NFL level.
The Browns might be keeping an eye on him as a potential backup center option in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Projected round: 7th
WR De’Zhaun Stribling – Ole Miss
Stribling is one of those prospects who isn’t necessarily great at anything, but he’s pretty good at a lot of things. His length and overall skillset likely limits him to the outside at the next level, but he’s been a consistent weapon for every team he’s been on in college (Washington State, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss).
He’s very good at the catchpoint and comes down with some circus catches from time to time, which bodes well for his prospects as a possession-type guy in the NFL. He’s an “okay” route-runner as well, but is above-average on double-moves. Stribling is also an elite run-blocker, consistently putting defensive backs on the ground on run plays.
He isn’t going to win with speed or incredible route-running, but if you throw the ball up to him, he’s going to bring it down 90% of the time.
Projected round: 5th-6th
