The New England Patriots are the last team standing in the AFC and as such on to Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara. Their opponent is a familiar one, at least as far as the two teams’ title game history is concerned:
the Seattle Seahawks, who lost to the Patriots back in Super Bowl XLIX in February 2015.
Since then, a lot has changed for both organizations. One thing has not: the Patriots entering the game as underdogs. While they opened as 2.5-point underdog 11 years ago, they are now regarded a 4.5-point underdog, according to odds provided by FanDuel Sportsbook.
Odds for Super Bowl LX
- Spread: Seahawks -4.5
- Moneyline: Patriots +198 | Broncos -240
- Over/under: 46.5
The Patriots and Seahawks both finished the regular season with 4-13 records, but while the former had to go through the wild card round in the AFC, the latter was able to earn a first-round bye as the NFC’s top seed. Since entering the playoffs, both teams have looked different.
New England was mostly carried by its defense in close wins over the Los Angeles Chargers, Houston Texans and Denver Broncos. Seattle, on the other hand, blew out the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional playoffs, followed by an impressive offensive outing in the NFC title game over the Los Angeles Rams.
In two weeks, they will now face off against one another. Super Bowl LX is set for a 6:30 p.m. ET kickoff on Feb. 8.
