It’s reasonable to state that Buffalo hasn’t played its best football the last two games. While the defense has had known concerns since Week 1, it’s now the offense that suddenly looks to be reeling and unable to put up points at will. That’s a bit of uncharted territory for Josh Allen and company.
What’s going on with these Bills and where do they go from here? Where before, offensive coordinator Joe Brady was dialed-in with the offense responding in kind to his play calls, now every snap feels labored. The offensive line isn’t playing up to its standard, the wide receivers aren’t able to separate and too often appear out of sync with Allen, and Brady’s play calling is under the microscope.
Yet Buffalo is still 4-2, with plenty of games and opportunity ahead to correct recurring mistakes. Are the Bills in jeopardy of losing their grip on the AFC East crown after a five-year reign? The New England Patriots sure hope so, and Buffalo will have to do all it can to catch up with New England and then leave them in the dust.
Bills Mafia is loaded with opinions and takes right now. Many are pleading with general manager Brandon Beane to do something to address the wide receivers and defensive backs rooms. Still others are ready to raise the white flag on Keon Coleman’s NFL career. This, before he’s two years into his rookie contract.
The good news is that Josh Allen still exists, and his slump isn’t likely to last long. But even he hasn’t played up to “the standard” in recent weeks. How does that all sit with you, Rumblers? Vote now!
