Premier League Team of the Week – Gameweek 11
Goalkeeper
Emiliano Martinez (Aston Villa)
Martinez made three crucial saves, including a penalty stop against AFC Bournemouth, in Villa’s 4–0 victory. He also kept a clean sheet to help secure the win. He is our top goalkeeper for this week’s Premier League Team of the Week.
Defenders
Malo Gusto (Chelsea)
Gusto has proven to be a reliable performer for Chelsea since he joined the London side. He stepped up impressively in gameweek 11 when Chelsea came up against Wolves, helping his side keep a clean sheet in defense, while also scoring a goal against a struggling Wolverhampton Wanderers side.
Michael Keane (Everton)
Keane put in a top-notch performance against Fulham, scoring a crucial goal and showcasing his defensive strength. He continues to prove himself as a force to be reckoned with at the back.
Daniel Ballard (Sunderland)
Straight from the Championship, Ballard is proving himself Premier League–worthy. He displayed great defensive strength against Arsenal’s attacking force.
Though he couldn’t keep a clean sheet, he scored the opening goal of the match, helping Sunderland secure a valuable draw—Arsenal’s first dropped points in their last five league games.
Neco Williams (Nottingham Forest)
Williams was a wall against Leeds in Gameweek 11. He won the most duels (11), made 8 recoveries, and created 2 chances going forward.
Midfielders
Idrissa Gana Gueye (Everton)
Gueye was a key player in Everton’s 2–0 win over Fulham at Hill Dickinson Stadium in GW11. He contributed both defensively and offensively, even registering a goal for his side.
Leandro Trossard (Arsenal)
Trossard was one of Arsenal’s standout performers in their 2–2 draw against Sunderland. He scored a stunning long-range goal from the left wing, showcasing his quality once again.
Alejandro Garnacho (Chelsea)
Since joining Chelsea from Manchester United last summer, Garnacho has been steadily finding his feet in London, and one of his standout display for Maresca’s side came in Chelsea’s 3–0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he created the most chances and provided two assists.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (Everton)
Dewsbury-Hall played a pivotal role in Everton’s win over Fulham, providing an assist and creating two key chances.
Forwards
Jérémy Doku (Manchester City)
In superb form, Doku tormented Liverpool at the Etihad in GW11. He completed the most dribbles (7), won the most duels (11), created three chances, and scored a goal. He was undoubtedly a key factor in City’s victory.
Igor Thiago (Brentford)
Thiago had three shots on target against Newcastle United in GW11, converting two of them into goals. Brentford came from behind to win the match, thanks largely to his clinical finishing.
