Payton Talbott vs. Deiveson Figueiredo squared off in a Bantamweight bout earlier tonight (Sat., Oct. 3, 2026) inside Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah for UFC 332.
Talbott pressed early on, and the two traded low kicks. Out of nowhere, a Talbott right hand floored Figueiredo! The Brazilian survived but was pushed onto the back foot. Figueiredo nearly swallowed a knee but managed to start wrestling instead. He couldn’t get Talbott to the floor, and then Talbott hurt him again with an elbow. Less
than two minutes into the fight, Figuieredo was beaten up. The Talbott onslaught continued, and another right hand put Figueiredo on the canvas a second time.
The referee quickly moved in to save the former champion.
This was an absolute bludgeoning. Talbott was much larger and longer than Figueiredo, and he found his range immediately. Everything Talbott landed hurt Figueiredo, who is famously durable regardless of weight class. Whenever Talbott finds even a bit of success, he builds momentum so quickly and irrevocably — he’s a truly special talent.
With this win, Talbott should join the Top 10 of the Bantamweight rankings. Hopefully, he’ll be booked again sooner rather than later against an opponent in the immediate title mix.
He’s ready.
Result: Talbott defeats Figueiredo via knockout
