- Austin Riley’s go-ahead homer in the 8th led the Braves to a 5-3 Game 1 win over the Phillies in the NL Wild Card Series.
- The Padres took the lead in their first at-bat of their game against the Cubs and didn’t look back, winning 8-0.
- The Yankees made quick work of the Red Sox in a 9-0 drubbing in the first game of the AL Wild Card Series.
- The White Sox earned their first playoff win since 2021 in a 6-3 victory over the Astros.
