Earlier this week, we asked fans which Michigan transfer portal addition at receiver they are most excited about. And now the results are in.
51% of fans voted for JJ Buchanan, who transferred from Utah. 37% voted for Salesi Moa, who also transferred from Utah. And 12% voted for Texas transfer Jaime Ffrench.
Buchanan has the most experience of the three and will be an immediate impact player for the Wolverines. Moa and Ffrench could also receive ample playing time, but Moa is a true freshman, and Ffrench had
one reception as a freshman last season. Buchanan had a productive freshman season at Utah, recording 26 receptions for 427 yards with five touchdowns.
Buchanan, 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds, was listed as a tight end last season and will have some things to refine during his first go-around in the receiver room.
“Footwork, releases — definitely need to get better at releases,” Buchanan said in April. “Footwork, in and out of breaks. I feel like those are the main things that I’m trying to improve at. Just footwork, footwork, footwork, footwork.”
How did you vote this week? Will Buchanan, Moa, or Ffrench have the most successful season in 2026? Let us know in the comments.
