The Buffalo Bills got back to work on Wednesday. The hope has widely been that the bye week would give some added rest to players who had been nursing bumps, bruises, and those injuries that were keeping them from going full speed.
While we see one name returning for the first time this season, an extra week of rest may not have been enough for another.

Bills players not practicing:
- RT Spencer Brown (back)
Brown getting the benefit
of a bye week to rest the back injury he assured us was just some soreness and something he tweaked after a long plane ride out west, may not have been enough. Now he is saying he rested through practice in Week 6 so he would be available when the Bills faced the Las Vegas Raiders. He is still sore, still resting – three weeks later.
Bills players with limited practice:
- CB Dee Alford (ankle)
- OLB Bradley Chubb (chest/thumb)
- TE Dalton Kincaid (chest)
- WR DJ Moore (shoulder)
- DL Ed Oliver (knee)
- OLB TJ Parker (knee)
- DL T.J. Sanders (shoulder)
- WR Tyrell Shavers – PUP – (knee)
There’s plenty of good news in this group. Buffalo opened the 21-day practice window on Shavers. The wide receiver had ACL surgery in late January. He now has until the week before Thanksgiving to get back on the roster.
Moore and Oliver being limited rather than non-participants is encouraging. Sure, it would have been nice to think a week of no football would heal them, but realistically, we may see them on this list all year. So, limited to start the week is a positive.
Alford hasn’t healed and Chubb, who noticeably missed some snaps in Week 6, added a chest injury to his list of ailments. The bigger concern is Dalton Kincaid. This is his fourth season in the NFL and we are still looking for a full year of games from him. He did play in 16 his rookie season, but missed four and five the next two years respectively.
Bills players with full practice:
- G Ar’maj Reed-Adams (back/elbow)
No longer on the Injury List:
- CB Christian Benford
- ILB Terrel Bernard
- WR Keon Coleman
- S C.J. Gardner Johnson (suspended)
- DL Landon Jackson
- WR Josh Palmer
We can’t be certain that Gardner Johnson’s injury is no longer a problem as he serves a one-week suspension stemming from an on-field altercation in Las Vegas. But an extra week of healing time should help

Here’s a look at what the Ravens are dealing with this week.
Lamar Jackson is back to practice, as expected. The quarterback has been dealing with a high ankle sprain for the past month causing him to miss the last three games. It looks like he plans to play in Buffalo this weekend.
