Barcelona’s coaching staff has reportedly been left “baffled” by the current injury crisis engulfing the club.
Hansi Flick has seen Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Gavi, Joan Garcia, Dani Olmo, Robert Lewandowski and Fermin Lopez sidelined with issues in recent weeks in what’s been a real blow.
According to AS, the situation has caught the club by surprise, particularly after Julio Tous vowed to cut injuries by 50% ahead of the new campaign.
The report says that Barca’s “preventive work, which worked so well
last season, is failing in every way” and the club are at a loss to explain why.
Barca are refusing to use the busy fixture schedule as an excuse either, as the players faced almost the exact situation last year and did not suffer as they have done this season.
Hansi Flick is said to have “demanded urgent solutions to reverse the situation” and help his players stay as injury-free as possible for the rest of the campaign.
