Welcome to the 2026 Cammie Awards — named after Cam Thoroughman, the best WVU basketball player of all time — celebrating the best and worst of the 2025-26 West Virginia University Men’s Basketball season.

The Awards:
- Best Feeling After a Game: The nominees are the College Basketball Crown final versus Oklahoma, the Kansas game, the UCF road win in Orlando, and the Oklahoma game in the Crown final. One of these was not a close vote.
- Worst Feeling After a Game: The nominees are Clemson in Charleston, Wake Forest in the Charleston Civic Center, Ohio State in Cleveland, and the Utah game. One of these effectively ended any NCAA Tournament conversation for good.
- Best Moment of the Season: The nominees are Honor Huff hitting a three over Darryn Peterson in the second half of the Kansas game, Honor Huff hitting a stepback three over a seven-foot-two defender in the second half at Central Florida, DJ Thomas’s late-game corner three to seal a win at Cincinnati, and Jasper Floyd’s overtime three versus Oklahoma in the College Basketball Crown final.
- Best Bench Player of the Year: The nominees are Chance Moore, DJ Thomas, and Amir Jenkins.

- Best Big 12 Team to Watch (Not WVU): The Arizona Wildcats
- Best ESPN+ Goofup: The Kennesaw State game, where ESPN+ cut to commercials while the game was happening — multiple times
- Best Cash Grab Streaming Service: Peacock, for scheduling both of their WVU games exactly one month apart so fans had to pay for two months of the service
- Best Chance Moore Play: The one where he drove left and finished at the rim. (Every one of them.)
- Craziest Play of the Season: Harlan Obioha shooting an uncontested three in overtime against Oklahoma while WVU was losing. It is still making people laugh.
- Most Downloaded Episode of Unreasonable Doubt: The Campbell University game
- Least Downloaded Episode: The Kennesaw State game
- In Memoriam — to the players not expected to return next season
- Most Valuable Player: The nominees are Honor Huff, Brenen Lorient, and Chance Moore. It’s a closer vote than you might think.
