Do the Michigan State Spartans have a new offensive weapon #1 in Jaziun Patterson? If his performance against Illinois has anything to say about it, we just may. The senior transfer who stepped into the starting lineup after Cam Edwards was lost to injury a couple of weeks ago, shined this past Saturday and won our Player of the Game vote.
Jaziun finished with a career-high 93 yards rushing and 3 TDs on the ground. He added 26 receiving yards on 3 receptions including 1 additional score for a total
of 119 yards and 4 TDs. His tremendous day earned him 71% of the vote.
This has the potential to be a significant development for MSU. If we can get the same type of production from our original RB2 as we were from Cam Edwards, that would go along way in MSU getting that elusive first conference win. Now just need some more names (talking to you, Charles Taplin) to become more involved.
Through 6 games, we have had 5 different players of the game. Anyone care to predict who it will be in game #7?
