The Cleveland Browns lost on Sunday. To the Steelers. In Pittsburgh. Once again.
It was frustrating, irritating, maddening, and all-around horrible. And that was just on the first two offensive series of the game!
The loss left the Browns picking up the pieces after yet another defeat to the Steelers in a game where it looked like Cleveland was playing its first football game ever.
Where the team goes from here is entirely up to them. The Browns are still 5-3 and have two games that are winnable if
they play well before they hit the bye week.
So the Pittsburgh loss does not have to be the defining moment of the season, unless the Browns dwell on it too much and one loss turns into two, which turns into three, and then everyone spends the bye week yelling about the backup quarterback. At that point, the season will be completely lost.
Again, it doesn’t have to play out that way. Teams lose games every week and bounce back.
But until they show they can do it, it is fair to worry that the Browns may be on the brink of seeing the season slip away.
OK, let’s get rolling with today’s edition of the Daily Dawg Chow.
