During the second Western Conference Emirates Cup Quarterfinals matchup last night, Cassidy Hubbarth mentioned how Keldon Johnson will spend his earnings.
“Keldon Johnson seems motivated to get to Vegas
in this one and this morning he told me he already has a good idea of what he’d buy with the NBA Cup money — a llama — for Longhorn Ranch, the property he owns about 45 minutes outside San Antonio. Right now he’s already taking care of eleven goats, four cows, two horses, a donkey, and six chickens. No staff, it’s just him, his family and friends running the whole place. So a llama, that would be a good flex.”
For Johnson, known for his love of the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and the cowboy lifestyle, adding livestock to his property should come as no surprise.
Last night’s win in Los Angeles got Johnson $53, 093 closer to owning his llama.
The Spurs play the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Cup Semifinals on Saturday at 8:00 p.m.
Who knows, Johnson may have a menagerie by the end of the weekend.
