Bernie Kosar is a star in Cleveland as the Browns quarterback in the 1980’s, and now he is a star in TNA. Kosar helped Nic Nemeth win his match against AJ Francis at Rebellion (Apr. 11, 2026). That wasn’t all though. Nemeth was also aided by the surprise return of KC Navarro.
Since Cleveland is Nemeth’s hometown, he asked Kosar to be in his corner for the big match. Francis dominated early as the best big man in the business. Top Dolla taunted Kosar. The QB didn’t back down, and the fans chanted for Bernie.
Nemeth found his groove to rally for a jumping DDT and a barrage of elbow drops. Nemeth pulled a page from John Cena’s book with the ‘U Can’t See Me’ wave and an impressive Attitude Adjustment on the super heavyweight. Nemeth tuned up the band for a superkick, however, Francis was quicker on the draw to hit a spear. Top Dolla lifted Nemeth for a chokeslam. Nemeth countered in the air for a Fameasser. Kick out on the cover. Francis rolled outside to regroup. Nemeth charged for a suicide dive, but Francis caught him for a chokeslam on the floor.
This is when Kosar got involved. Francis grabbed a steel chair from under the ring. Nemeth was down in the corner. The referee blocked Francis’ path, then he snatched the weapon. Francis reacted by clobbering the ref. Kosar entered the ring to block Francis from attacking Nemeth. Francis went down in a three-point stance ready to run over the Browns legend. Surprise! KC Navarro is back from injury. The storyline for his exit was Francis dumping him like trash out of First Class. Navarro served a taste of payback with the distraction, and Kosar hit Francis with a chair in the back. Nemeth finished the job with the Danger Zone, and Navarro pushed the ref back into the ring to count the win.
