Unless the Brewers have a truly shocking comeback in them, today will be the final day of 2025 with multiple MLB games. The only way it will happen again is Monday, if the Mariners/Blue Jays series goes
seven (plausible since it’s now dead even at 2-2) and the Brew Crew win back-to-back games at Dodger Stadium to force a Game 6 in Milwaukee. Given that the Brewers have scored precisely one run per game while getting dominated across the first three by LA… I’m not counting on it. So enjoy the 18 guaranteed innings of playoff ball today while you can. The Jays and M’s will learn who will be a win away from a drought-ending pennant on Sunday in Toronto, and the Dodgers will try to secure their fifth World Series berth in nine years behind a fella named Shohei Ohtani.
Today on the site, Matt will run through details on the two LCS games from yesterday, Nick will select the Yankees’ Least Valuable Player of 2025, Sam will look back 25 years to when David Justice punched the Yankees’ ticket to the 2000 World Series against the Mets, and Madison will answer your mailbag questions.

2. How many innings will Ohtani pitch tonight with the Dodgers going for the kill?
