According to Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany will not return to the bench before the November international break as he continues to rest and follow his prescribed medication and recovery plan.
The Belgian coach is set to miss three crucial fixtures — Saturday’s Bundesliga Klassiker against Borussia Dortmund, the Champions League clash with Atlético Madrid, and FC Bayern’s trip to Mainz 05. His return is not expected until after the international break at the earliest.
Bayern Munich will continue preparing without its head coach on the touchline, with assistant coach Aaron Danks and the rest of the coaching staff tasked with keeping the team on track during his absence.
The next possible return date could be Friday, November 20th, when Bayern Munich faces 1. FC Köln in the Bundesliga. However, Kompany’s health takes priority, and there is no guarantee he will be back by then.
It is an unfortunate situation for Bayern Munich ahead of a demanding stretch of the season, particularly with Borussia Dortmund and Atlético Madrid presenting significant challenges. Such is life, though, and Kompany’s health will continue to be paramount, no matter who the team is playing.
