Sunday the Seattle Seahawks opened their 2025 season, dropping yet another home game at Lumen Field to the division rival San Francisco 49ers.
The loss to a rival which finished the game with the majority of its offensive weapons unable to take the field due to injury certainly stings, but Mike Macdonald and company will have a chance to right the ship in Week 2.
When it comes to who played and how much, there were not a ton of surprises that came out of the game. On the offensive side of the ball
Zach Charbonnet outsnapped Kenneth Walker 30-21, but that won’t be a surprise at all to many who have expected just that for much of the offseason.

When the Seahawks were on defense they once again were heavy on defensive backs, averaging 4.93 safeties and corners on the field per defensive snap played. The snaps for the secondary came from the defensive line, with the team averaging just 2.21 defensive linemen per snap.

On special teams, it’s no surprise that Brady Russell was the snaps leader for the Seahawks, pacing the team with 18 snaps. Other members of the team playing 15 or snaps with special teams mainstays Jake Bobo and Dareke Young out due to injuries were Ty Okada, Nehemiah Pritchett, George Holani and Chazz Surratt.

And now it’s on to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the early slot in Week 2.
