Two of Liverpool FC’s youngest and brightest members of their first-team squad, Jeremy Jacquet and Rio Ngumoha, have been called up in the provisional squads for France and England, respectively.
Per L’Equipe, Jacquet is expected to be called up by new France manager Zinedine Zidane for his first squad.
Meanwhile, per Sami Mokbel of the BBC, Rio Ngumoha looks set to continue his involvement with the England setup, having featured in England’s World Cup warm-up games earlier this summer.
Two of Liverpool’s most important young players have shown they’re among the best in their countries with their recent performances, and for Jacquet, it’s kind of weird to think there’s a chance he could replace Ibrahima Konaté both at club level and possibly in the national team as well.
