Dakota Ditcheva won’t return at the PFL’s first event of the year, PFL Dubai on Feb. 7, as she was forced off the card with an undisclosed injury, according to the PFL on Tuesday.
The MMA promotion did
not announce if Denise Kielholtz will get a new opponent for the February card or face Ditcheva on a later date.
PFL Dubai will be headlined by Usman Nurmagomedov’s defense of the lightweight title versus Alfie Davis, and Ramazan Kuramagomedov battling Shamil Musaev for the vacant welterweight belt in the co-main event.
Ditcheva became one of the biggest stars of the PFL roster after becoming flyweight champion on both PFL Europe and main PFL seasons in 2023 and 2024, but only competed once this year when she defeated Sumiko Inaba via decision in July to improve to 15-0 as a professional.
Kielholtz hasn’t fought since 2023, when she scored wins over Paula Cristina and Inaba on the now-defunct Bellator. The 36-year-old fighter went 8-4 in Bellator, challenging for the 125-title title in 2021 — losing to then-champion Juliana Velasquez.
