Barcelona boss Hansi Flick has been told his team have been found out following successive defeats to Paris Saint-Germain and Sevilla.
The defeats have brought fresh scrutiny on Flick’s infamous high line,
and he’s now been told that teams have “got the hang” of playing Barcelona.
Former Las Palmas boss and Barcelona native Manolo Márquez told Sport: “I have a lot of fun watching their football. I have a great time watching Barça.
“If I have to say a negative part, it is that now, with so much information, so much video and so much I don’t know what, the opposing teams are getting the hang of it.
“People say ‘no, Iñigo Martínez has left’. But I don’t think it’s a question of Iñigo Martínez leaving, I think it’s a question of the teams, with that defense so advanced, they make it very easy for you, and if you’re not well, if you don’t press well…”
However, Marquez thinks that Flick can get his team back on track, although he thinks Barca may have more chance of winning the league again than cup competitions.
“I think Flick has to turn that around, and I think he’s going to do it, if he wants to get good results,” he added.
“I see it more as a team that wins long-term competitions than cup and Champions League matches, than with a bad game, as happened with Inter Milan last year, who played very well and scored four.”
