The United States Men’s National Team take the field for the final time in 2025 as they take on Uruguay in Tampa. It’s the first time the two teams have faced each other since the final match of the 2024
Copa América group stage, a match won by Uruguay in Kansas City that led to the USMNT parting ways with then-head coach Gregg Berhalter.
Now, the USMNT looks to finally be improving, and they’ve achieved some results over the past 4 matches. In that time, they have 3 wins and a draw against 4 teams that will hear their names called at the World Cup draw in a couple of weeks. They don’t have their full strength roster due to injuries, but the players in camp have performed well. Still, this is their biggest test yet of the fall against the 15th ranked team in the world. A result here would be terrific for boosting the confidence of the USMNT ahead of a pivotal 2026.
