Bayern Munich finished off its Bundesliga campaign with a strong 5-1 victory over FC Köln.
The Bavarians came out on fire and plowed right through the visitors. Harry Kane opened up the scoring with a volley goal off of a cross from Lennart Karl before making it 2-0 on a free kick.
The Billy Goats would cut the gap to 2-1 on a terrific solo effort from Said El Mala, but Bayern Munich answered with a goal from Tom Bischof to make it 3-1. Kane would later blast another long distance shot to make it 4-1
as the squad cruised to a comfortable win. Nicolas Jackson would add a fifth goal later on.
Before the game started, though, the Südkurve wanted to show appreciation to the players and club with banner, thanking them for an “insane” season:
BFW Commentary
While some were disappointed in Bayern Munich’s Champions League exit at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain, it has been a fantastic season. Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga, still have the DFB-Pokal finale to play, and, overall, has been fun as hell to watch this season.
Sometimes the journey of a season is sullied by the end result, but not for Bayern Munich fans. Many seem appreciative of the great season and are already looking forward to the Pokal final, and finding ways to take the next step for next season.
After such a good campaign, why not?
