The Indianapolis Colts are on the road to take on the Houston Texans in week 18 of the 2025 season, kickoff is at 1:00 p.m. EST.
Well this is it. The season ends today. The season didn’t go the way anyone
wanted it to, but there were plenty of highs to go along with even more lows. We saw some really wild things this season, Daniel Jones beat out Anthony Richardson for the starting quarterback job, something that was unconscionable at the time, only for Jones to morph into the kind of quarterback Indy had been searching for since Andrew Luck retired. We had more than half a season of “Indiana Jones” and multiple legitimate MVP candidates in Jones and Jonathan Taylor. We saw the team make the kind of blockbuster trade so many Colts fans regularly clamored for during Chris Ballard’s 9 year reign as general manager. We saw Jones play through a broken leg. And then we saw Jones tear his Achilles tendon. We all watched in stunned amazement as a 44 year old Philip Rivers came out of retirement, hoping to save the season. We saw Rivers play better than anyone could have expected but still fall short. We saw so many players excel and a great many fail.

This doesn’t feel like a single season, 2025 has felt like a football lifetime. And today that life comes to it’s end. It will be eight long months before we get to watch the Colts play football and then another month before the games will mean anything.
This isn’t the game we hoped the Colts would be playing in a few months ago, but it’s the game we’re getting. Try to enjoy it.
And while I NEVER thought I would say this, at least we can all watch the seemingly dominant Indiana Hoosiers play for a championship for the rest of the year.
Prediction:
Texans: 33
Colts: 10
As always, go Colts.
