Pau Cubarsí has come to the defense of his Barcelona and Spain teammate Lamine Yamal amid the non-stop criticism surrounding the teenage superstar.
Cubarsí is currently with the national team and spoke to Spanish media about his club and international teammate, and was full of praise for Yamal’s qualities as a player and also highlighted Lamine’s ability to block out the outside noise around his professional and personal life.
“He’s a spectacular player who single-handedly turns games around. He’s currently
nursing a minor injury, and he’ll be back as soon as possible to help us like never before. Lamine knows how to isolate himself, stay calm, and ignore what anyone says because he knows he’s very good; we all know that. People who don’t want him to do so well in life try to destabilize him a little from the outside, but he’s mentally strong and doesn’t think about that.”
