You can feel it, can’t you? That little tinge of excitement is creeping in as we inch closer to another season of NBA basketball.
The NBA Draft was more than 2 months ago. Summer League is nearly 2 months in the rearview mirror. We are now less than a month away from Phoenix Suns Media Day. Yes, we have officially entered that awkward portion
of the calendar where you desperately want to get excited, but you know better. There is still some road left to travel before basketball actually returns.
Still, when you look back at what we thought the Suns needed to accomplish this offseason, it feels like quite a few boxes were checked.
They needed to bring back Collin Gillespie, Jordan Goodwin, and Mark Williams. Done. Dillon Brooks needed an extension. Done. A team that entered the offseason without a first-round draft pick somehow ended up making one. And for a fan base that spent plenty of time talking about moving off the contracts of Grayson Allen and Royce O’Neale, well, that happened too.
Whether you agree with all of those moves is entirely up to you. Maybe you loved them. Maybe you hated them. Maybe you are somewhere in the middle, staring at the roster like a man examining a suspicious stain on the carpet and wondering how exactly it got there.
Either way, your opinion on those decisions is probably going to determine how you grade the Suns’ offseason. And that is the subject of this week’s Bright Side Reacts survey.
