The Eagles are still continuing to tinker with the roster, both active and practice squad, and made a pair of moves on Friday to the WR room. The team announced that they’ve added Xavier Gipson to the practice squad and placed Danny Gray on the practice squad IR list.
Gipson spent some time around the team in 2025, with the Eagles claiming him off waivers
from the Giants in late-September and then releasing him in early-December. He ultimately played in five games for the Birds, from Week 7 to Week 12, and while he did make two catches in that time, he was mostly used for kick and punt returns when he did take the field.
The Eagles are pretty deep at receiver right now, but bringing in someone with familiarity of the organization and WR coach, can only add more assurance. As for Danny Gray, he wasn’t completely released, so he’ll stay around the building, as well.
