There is no Jays news and I’ve got nothing to talk about, so lets have an open thread.
We had the second great World Series game in a row last night. I like watching baseball (or any sport) when I have no rooting interest. After a season of caring about every Jays game, I like watching without sweating the outcome. I have a friend who keeps telling me I need to pick an NFL team, but I’d rather just watch. If there is a good play, I’m happy.
I can watch almost any sport. I guess cause my dad would watch almost any sport. But
he always picked a team, and that team was always getting robbed by the referees. I get now that it was stress relief, and likely healthier than yelling at his son, but it made watching sports hard. He got so worked up about it. I took to leaving the house when sports were on.
Every now and then, I feel that kind tension building up in me while watching the Jays, but I can bring it back down. As much as sometimes I hate an umpire’s call, I know they aren’t trying to mess with the Jays. The world isn’t out to get a team because I cheer for them.
Anyway, use the thread to discuss anything you like. Maybe the ugly orange/red jerseys the Texans are wearing in the game I’m watching. Or anything else.
