Missouri’s College Football Playoff hopes are officially over after a 38-17 loss to Texas A&M on late Saturday afternoon.
There was some optimism heading into this game that Mizzou could potentially pull
off the upset at home. In our latest SBN Reacts survey, we asked what the outcome of Missouri vs Texas A&M will be — and the majority of the fanbase predicted a close Mizzou win.
Wishful thinking, huh? Maybe it was because the Tigers were playing in a “house money” type of game at home. In all reality — playing a true freshman QB without your starting tight end against the No. 3 team in the country wasn’t a recipe for success. But hey, congrats to the 28 percent that correctly predicted the right outcome.
It’s safe to say that Texas A&M has Missouri’s number recently. The Aggies have now won three straight decisions over the Tigers by a combined score of 114-41 — which is … not ideal.
Mizzou’s schedule only gets more difficult in 2026 and that includes another meeting with Texas A&M in Columbia. So, maybe next year.
