Bayern keeping eye on Lukeba (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)
Bayern Munich is reportedly keeping its options open for defenders this summer and RB Leipzig center-back Castello Lukeba is on the club’s radar:
✅ It is TRUE: Bayern are monitoring Castello Lukeba. Max Eberl knows the player and likes the player. He has worked before at RB Leipzig. But, at the moment, it’s not true that FC Bayern will buy Lukeba in the summer. Things can change if Kim Min-jae is sold. Then they can invest the transfer fee, which is why Lukeba is still on the list. Luka Vušković would
also be on this list if Bayern needed a defender, but at the moment, they don’t need one.
As you see, often RB Leipzig players end up in the Premier League. We’ve seen a lot of them – especially at Liverpool! Just look at Dominik Szoboszlai’s performances this season. This is one of the clubs that always focuses on such players. A while ago, Bayern bought Dayot Upamecano from Leipzig, and it was a good decision. But they can’t always do a deal like this, and we know Lukeba is an expensive player. So, perhaps there’s a deal in the Premier League to be found for the 23-year-old centre-half.
The Bavarians will have some interesting options if they do, indeed, end up pursuing a center-back in the summer — and Lukeba is just one of several intriguing names.
Real eyeing Tonali (ESPN)
Real Madrid could be contemplating a move for Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali, who has become a very popular figure in the rumor mill:
Real Madrid sent scouts to watch Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali this weekend in the FA Cup, The Sun reports. While the Italy international has yet to indicate a desire to leave St. James’ Park, several clubs are monitoring the situation with an eye to a potential move in the summer. Tonali is under contract at Newcastle until 2030, meaning any potential deal won’t come at a bargain. Arsenal and Manchester City have also been linked with him, although it remains to be seen whether any tangible offers will be lodged once the transfer window reopens.

United expecting competition from Bayern, City for Anderson (ESPN)
Manchester United will join Bayern Munich and Manchester City in pursuit of Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson:
Manchester United seemingly won’t have it all their own way when it comes to Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson, as The Daily Mail have reported that they will face competition with Bayern Munich ready to step up their interest in the 23-year-old. There have also been various reports in recent times linking Manchester City with the England international, who now has six caps to his name and has impressed despite Forest’s struggles.
It remains to be seen if the Bavarians are truly interested in Anderson (it is questionable to say the least) or if Bayern Munich will just be a spectator as the two Manchester clubs compete.
BVB to follow through on Can contract (Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg)
Borussia Dortmund is going to honor its agreement to give Emre Can a new deal, despite his torn ACL:
🚨✍️ As previously indicated by Borussia Dortmund, Emre #Can will sign a contract extension until 2027 today despite suffering a torn ACL in his left knee.

Juve could get serious about Goretzka (ESPN)
Juventus is reportedly going to get serious about a pursuit of Leon Goretzka:
After Calciomercato linked Leon Goretzka with AC Milan, Inter Milan and Arsenal, as previously covered in our blog, La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Juventus also want the Bayern Munich midfielder who will be a free agent in the summer. Juve have made two failed attempts to sign the 31-year-old Germany international during his career, and they are ready to make a third. Luciano Spalletti has now put Goretzka at the top of his list for the summer and Juventus are pressing to overcome the competition for his signature.
Goretzka in Italy seems like a great fit and there are several clubs (Juve, Inter Milan, AC Milan) who seem to be willing to make it happen.
