Newcastle United are preparing to move for Palmeiras midfielder Allan Elias as the Brazilian club braces for formal offers from Europe, according to Bolavip’s Romario Junior.
Allan has emerged as one of the standout young players at Palmeiras after breaking into the first team earlier this year, making 48 appearances and contributing eight goals despite being used in a limited role.
Bolavip Brasil reported that Newcastle want to reach an immediate agreement with Palmeiras, who view Allan as one of
their key players for the current season.
“Newcastle wants to reach an immediate agreement with Palmeiras to sign Allan, the team’s star striker,” Junior wrote. “Palmairas intend to play hardball in order to release one of its key players from the current season.”
Allan has risen quickly through the Palmeiras system and is expected to take on a more prominent role under Abel Ferreira. His performances and potential have attracted interest from several major European clubs, prompting Palmeiras to prepare for a wave of bids.
“Offers are expected to arrive very soon,” Junior wrote about Allan’s future, with Newcastle among a group of Premier League clubs ready to invest in his signing.
Palmeiras are under no pressure to sell due to strong finances and a long-term contract that runs until the end of 2029. Their stance is that Allan will only leave for a fee similar to the amounts received for Estevao Willian and Endrick.
Junior reported that Palmeiras “only want to sell Allan for a very high price, like their last sales,” and added that management believes the 21-year-old “has similar potential.”
Newcastle’s interest is driven by Allan’s versatility and long-term upside, with the club continuing to target high-ceiling prospects who can grow into first-team roles. The presence of Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton could also provide support if Allan makes the move, given the Brazilian contingent already playing meaningful football in Tyneside.
