Welcome to a sight that hasn’t happened a whole lot in recent memory – the Chicago Bears hosting a playoff game.
After a not-exactly-inspiring performance against the Detroit Lions to close out the regular
season, the Bears still picked up the #2 seed overall when the Philadelphia Eagles fell to the Washington Commanders, setting them up for a third battle against the division foe Green Bay Packers.
Both games against the Packers this year went to the final play – the first one, an interception to close out the game, and the second, a game-tying touchdown followed by a walk-off touchdown to DJ Moore in overtime. If history is predictive, it’s pretty likely today isn’t a blowout either.
The game’s on Amazon Prime tonight, and speaking of streaming services, we’re going to do only the third-ever playoff edition of the WCGSL. So if you want to participate in the show, here’s how you do that:
- Down here in the comment threads of this post. Look down. No, further down.
- Over on the Twitch channel itself.
- Over on our social medias: Twitter (@SamHouseholder, @WCGridiron, @2ndCityGridiron) and BlueSky (@sjsillini.bsky.social, @samhouseholder.bsky.social, @wiltfongjr.bsky.social, and @2ndCityGridiron.bsky.social)
We’ll be live at 2:30 PM CT today, because January just throws off all the schedules, but it’s playoff football. We’ll see you then.
