Barcelona have reportedly set a price limit ahead of the summer transfer window as they search for a new No. 9 to take over from Robert Lewandowski.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalans have decided they won’t pay more than €100 million, including fixed and variable fees, for their next striker.
Julian Alvarez continues to be linked with a move to Barcelona and fuelled speculation about a possible Atletico exit this week by saying “maybe yes, maybe no” when asked if he could move this summer.
MD report that those words have gone done pretty well at Barcelona ahead of the summer transfer window.
Joan Laporta has also been asked about Alvarez this week, saying that the Argentine would need to “show his willingness to come” in the first instance and the price would have to be right for a deal to be done.
Atletico continue to insist that Alvarez is not for sale this summer but that has done little to quell the rumors that he could leave at the end of the season.
