Just weeks after completing a year-long recovery from a torn right ACL, Washington Mystics guard Georgia Amoore suffered another setback Sunday afternoon.
Amoore exited the Mystics’ game against the Portland Fire after going down with an apparent non-contact injury to her right knee with 5:53 remaining in the second quarter. She headed directly to the locker room and was ruled out at halftime with right knee soreness.
The second-year guard finished with two points and three assists in 12 minutes before
her departure.
The injury comes just over a year after Amoore tore the ACL in the same right knee during training camp ahead of her rookie season. The No. 6 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft underwent surgery and spent the next year rehabilitating the injury, forcing her to miss the entire 2025 season.
Amoore returned fully healthy for the 2026 campaign after receiving medical clearance during training camp, making her long-awaited WNBA debut earlier this season. The extent of Sunday’s injury will likely become clearer following further evaluation.
