It’s finally here! The 2026 NFL Draft kicks off in Pittsburgh this evening, getting the biggest weekend of the NFL offseason underway. Tonight consists of round one, and 32 players will hear their names called to start their NFL careers.
Impressively, seven of the 32 first-round picks have already changed hands prior to the start of the draft. Two of them were exchanged during the first day of last year’s draft, two more moved during the 2025 season, and another three switched hands this offseason.
The Green Bay Packers are one of the teams that sent away their first-rounder during last season, doing so to acquire Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys.
That means that the Packers will not make a pick tonight, barring something truly unexpected. Still, Packers fans have plenty of reason to follow along with the first night, both to see which players come off the board ahead of the team’s picks and to see where the top prospects land. If you’re looking to see some APC contributors react live to tonight’s picks, go check out the day 1 live stream from Best Available on Youtube, where several of us will be hopping in and out to discuss.
Make sure you also keep it here to join the APC community in the comments section for the first night of the draft, and let us know how you think the board is shaping up and what your opinions are of the picks by the Packers’ rival teams!
